How To Painting Kitchen Cabinets

Lamarck-Caulaincourt in Paris 18th district, the interior designer Elodie Cussonnier renovated a duplex studio 19m2 ground floor courtyard bringing light, warmth and modernity.

Before the project, this small apartment in Paris was dark, far from welcoming. "The beams were crude and walls plastered in yellow. Stairs brown color appeared slightly modern" notes the interior designer. The apartment also had a problem of construction: on the ground floor, the walls of the bathroom were not perpendicular "The layout was brief. Duplex was equipped on the first floor, a bed with cabinet and, on the ground floor, a kitchenette with refrigerator and shuttering apparent custody. space also included a big worry of moisture.

The desire of the owners? Bring to this little apartment all the necessary equipment: the storage, a double bed and a fitted kitchen with hob, fridge, oven and washing machine. Also, cool space bringing brightness and modernity.

The bias of the architect? Making healthy apartment with good ventilation: ventilation grilles were created. Keep a color unit in the room fairly neutral. Make arrangements, including installing custom cabinetry under the stairs. And finally, make it functional, bright and pleasant.

After construction, the plaster did not survive and the walls are now dressed in a satin white paint. To reinforce the desired brightness, the beams are also painted white. The soil is of a vinyl wood look that brings warmth. Under the stairs, custom cabinetry designed to fill space and to store everything you do not want to see (vacuum, broom ...). The interior is black and white are invited in the apartment. The kitchen is fully functional and beautiful modernity. Nearby, contemporary bathroom with shower room follows the same line Deco; it is fully tiled.
